Hotel Review: Grand Hyatt Doha - Experiences, Pros and Cons

The 5 star hotel next to "The Pearl Qatar" with 249 rooms and 49 villas in Arabian architectural style in direct beach location with almost 300m long hotel owned beach. Depending on availability, the sun loungers and umbrellas can be used free of charge. Additionally, there is an outdoor and indoor pool with more sunbeds. Towels for the sun loungers are provided free of charge by lifeguards at the pool.

The rooms and villas have terraces or balconies facing the pool or courtyard and Doha city or marina. The accommodation is very modern and equipped with flat screen TVs and WLAN (partly up to 25 Mbit/s) in the whole hotel complex.

The Jaula Spa has a gym, even with a dedicated women's area, whirlpool, experience showers, steam room, and several saunas. Other services can be booked separately for a fee.

Food is served in the four different restaurants, from Thai to American, Italian to international cuisine.

A luxurious 5 star hotel with its own sandy beach. The interior is now in one or the other place in the years, but not defective. The food quality is good, the included food selection small. Friendly staff at all times and cleanliness good. If you are not looking for a club hotel and more for sightseeing combined with pool and beach vacation, you are in good hands here.

The hotel is located just outside the city and is next to "The Pearl", an artificially built island in the shape of a pearl. The hotel's own beach is just under 300m long and is located in a channel which is thus wave arm and is connected with the Persian Gulf. The country of Qatar or Doha is a very ambitious metropolis due to its great wealth and this can be seen very well in the multitude of construction sites. Therefore, construction measures must be expected at any time.

The reception is very friendly and tries to clarify every request, the employees speak only English. Water bottles are also delivered to the room at no extra charge (can vary depending on the catering).

The cleaning staff is also very friendly and room cleaning is done daily at different times. The cleaning quality is good, can also vary somewhat due to different staff.

The motto friendliness is also very important in the restaurant and the service staff tries very hard to make the guest feel comfortable. Depending on the time of day and how busy the restaurant is, there may be longer waits for à la carte. All staff speak good English.
